<text>Arizona International Film Festival program film description: Exactly who is that big bear of a man with a full white beard and the Tennessee accent of a Bible Belt preacher? Well, among other things, he was that preacher at the age of 19, now a master book designer, illustrator, publisher, and wood engraver who has for over 30 years produced some of the world's most beautiful and original books. What he's done now is to create the only Bible of the 20th century to be illustrated by a single artist. A Thief Among the Angels is the witty, engaging documentary study of this quirky master by a celebrated editor of fashion videos. These are strange bedfellows, and the result is a funny and continually entertaining film. Producer Doug Kessler, says the film "...really surprised people who thought they had no interest in either books or art." Director Jason Kessler notes that his subject Barry Moser turns out to be "...much more than a virtuoso artist. He's a real character...a bourbon-drinking raconteur...and a true gentleman to boot...he's a natural on screen and his illustrations are truly awe inspiring."</text>
