As a young woman, Kathe falls into a hard life of drugs and prostitution. She is shot and killed by a young man who, through the course of this documentary, is subsequently tried and sentenced to only one year. Tucson native and University of Arizona alumna, Martin, forms a relationship with Kathe&#039;s two older sisters, who are also experiencing the underground world of drugs and prostitution, as she spends three years videotaping their lives. Their stories paint a picture of a girl who crossed over to the wrong side of the tracks at a young age. As she herself succinctly states, &quot;When you&#039;re on drugs you can&#039;t see. You look at yourself in the mirror and you can&#039;t see that you got too much make-up on... you can&#039;t see.
